Original language description
The paper deals with the development of model predictive control of motion and vibration suppression of flexible planar parallel experimental machine Sliding Star. The possibility of the combining the motion control of compliant structures and the activevibration suppression methods is investigated. Integration of the active platform with sensors and actuators into machine structure and application of control strategies brings the attractive idea of smart structure. Also the robustness of the control law efficiency with respect to the accuracy of the machine flexible bodies modelling is analysed.
