This paper addresses the possibilities of running an older ordinary gasoline powered passenger car on E-85 fuel as a measure for lowering exhaust emissions. The effects of the introduction of E-85 fuel into a model year 1996 Škoda Felicia car on the engine control unit parameters and on the exhaust emissions were evaluated during on-road operation using portable, on-board monitoring system.
