Investigation of Crash Loaded Composite Tubes Using Abaqus and LS-DYNA
Original language description
Development of simulation tools for prediction of composite absorbers is described in the report. Absorbers based on fibre composite tubes were simulated using finite element method; models with failure criteria were prepared and their results were compared with the experimentally determined absorbers behaviour. Due to complicated prediction of the behaviour, two different finite element softwares with similar criteria were used and their results were compared.
