The paper presents the development of parametric models of ICE (Internal Combustion Engine), gearboxes and power trains for the DASY (Design Assistance System) The system enables a fast design of optimum geometry of a combustion engine, verification of collisions and optimization of geometry based on strength calculations of crankshaft mechanism. The system enables a fast design of gearbox and power train for passenger vehicles. Parametric models include material definitions, boundary conditions and meshes definitions, which enable fast strength optimization of parts.
