Identification and control using GEA
Original language description
This article presents the Guiding Evolutionary Algorithm (GEA) for optimization and its application in parametric identification and control of several processes. The key advantage of using this optimization approach is that it can be used for identification of linear as well as non-linear systems. The algorithm has previously been applied successfully to optimizing a number of benchmark problems and the results were shown to be quite promising. This article applies the GEA optimization approach to the problem of identification and control of a dynamic system. The approach is verified experimentally on a physical setup and the feasibility of this approach is studied and evaluated for practical implementation.
