    Efficient Analysis of the Microstrip Patch Antenna with Fractal Boundary

  • Original language description

    Microstrip patch antenna with fractal boundary defined by Koch curve is introduced. The antenna is designed to work at higher operating mode wich exhibit localization property of the electric field close tothe antenna's boundary. Such higher eigenmode results in higher directivity. Antenna is solved in terms of the cavity model using FEM and resultsare refined by full-wave simulator IE3D. Good agreement between measurement and simulation was achieved.
