Original language description
This work deals with design, simulation and measurement of the microstrip patch antenna with fractal boundary. Proposed antenna is designed to work on higher resonant mode where localization of the boundary-electric field is observed. Thus significantlyhigher directivity compared to conventional patch antenna is achieved. Preliminary quasistatic modal analysis is treated using FEM and the results are refined by using IE3D full wave EM simulator. Simulation results were finally compared with measurement.
