Hybrid Telematic Systems for Rescue Missions
Original language description
This paper deals with concepts in design of hybrid telematic system for cooperative rescue operations in cases of emergencies or catastrophes. A rescue squad may consist of humans and tele-operated (semi)autonomous robots. These entities are expected toinspect selected spaces, rescue persons, etc. in emergency missions (e.g. fire, poisonous or infectious agent intoxication, etc.), and to interact with the environment and collaborate locally one with another. These both will also cooperate with a telematic center and communicate and receive advices and assistance from human operators. The paper presents results concerning system architecture, communication and data exchange among entities and cooperative localization.
