In this paper, we investigate piecewise quadratic stability of controlled Takagi-Sugeno (TS) fuzzy systems. Parallel Distributed Compensation (PDC) is employed to find a control law, while stability of the control system is addressed considering a wide variety of Lyapunov functions which are piecewise quadratic. The latter reduces conservatism of classical methods since no common Lyapunov function is needed to establish stability. Simulation results, which verify piecewise quadratic stability via linearmatrix inequalities (LMIs) are provided.
