    Piecewise Quadratic Stability of Affine Takagi-Sugeno Fuzzy Control Systems

    In this paper piecewise quadratic stability of controlled affine Takagi-Sugeno (ATS) fuzzy systems is investigated. The control law is assumed in the form of Parallel Distributed Compensation (PDC). Stability analysis of the closed-loop system is based on piecewise quadratic Lyapunov functions. This technique reduces conservatism of classical stability methods searching a common Lyapunov function and, even more, verify piecewise quadratic stability via linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). Simulation results are provided.
