Original language description
This paper demonstrates several test pattern compression techniques and discusses their advantages and disadvantages. It describes in deeper details the method of test pattern overlapping which is implemented in the COMPAS compression tool because this compression method is relatively efficient and it requires very limited amount of the hardware overhead when the standard Test Access Mechanism is employed in the designed systems.
