Original language description
Development activities within organizations usually follow well-known methodology for software development, but many methodologies lack the precise description and it is not easy to understand projects already instantiated in one methodology in the context of another approach. Knowledge-based representation could be a meeting point for (partial) mapping or capturing relationships between different methodologies. One of the possible representations extract common concepts from the structure of existing methodologies, which are then incorporated into metamodel standard and re-used for creation of methodologies in constructive way. In this paper we will shortly describe such approach and its potential for applicability for V-Modell XT methodology.
