In this paper describes theoretical model of STATCOM with active power compensation. This type of compensation is suitable for elimination power disturbance produced by variable load. In first part is mentioned load model and description of injection STATCOM model. Next part shows application of STATCOM with active power compensation. In the end is presented simulation of variable load with reactive and active-reactive type of compensation.
