LED Driver Thermal Design Considerations for Solid-State Lighting Technologies
Original language description
This paper summarizes a study into the thermal influence of an LED driver board on an SSL Lamp. Full thermal characterization of an LED lamp and driver board is carried out by infrared thermography and by monitoring specific locations with thermocouples. The experimental results have been used to set up and validate a predictive simulation model for both the SSL lamp and the driver board. With the obtained simulation model the driver board temperature is investigated under operational conditions for twoalternative designs
