    Photogrammetric Determination of Pavement Skid Resistance

    This paper deals with evaluation of photogrammetric measurements of pavement macrotexture for the purposes of new non-contact method for determination of pavement skid resistance developed at the Department of Forensic Experts in Transportation. With useof field test the variance of generated models, achieved quality and extent of obtained information together with the limitations of the measurement method was evaluated. In total, seven measurements of single sample of pavement surface were carried out. Five assessed the dry samples and two measurements were carried out on moistened pavement.. The comparison showed that photogrammetric measurements maintained very low variance (less than 0,5%) in case that the measured surface was dry and clean. Furthermore, photogrammetry showed to be more flexible, faster and more accurate method for measurement of the pavement macro-texture.
