    Evaluation of Asphalt Binder Permanent Deformation Properties with Multiple Stress Creep and Recovery Test

    This paper evaluates the correlation between asphalt binder non-recoverable creep compliance properties and hot mix asphalt rutting potential. Multiple Stress Creep and Recovery testing were carried out with different parameters, varying in applied stress level (0.1,3.2,6.4, 12.8 a 25.6 kPa) and test temperatures (64, 72 a 76°C). To measure hot mix asphalt rutting potential, Hamburg Wheel Tracking test was performed. Different polymers have been used for asphalt modification and crosslinking with sulfur (SBS) and curing (polyphosphoric acid for RET) of polymer modified binders was also carried out. All the binders were modified to the same PGof 72 (±1°C).
