    Thin Functional Films of Photoactive TiO2 Nanoparticles

    In this paper we report on preparation of titanium (IV) oxide (titania) nanoparticulate thin films by a series of chemical, physico-chemical and physical methods including the sol-gel process carried out in the templating environment of lyotropic liquidcrystals (SG), Barrier-torch Discharge deposition (ACBTD), Magnetron Sputtering (DCMGS) and the Modulated Hollow Cathode Plasma Jet Sputtering (DCMPS). The produced films differed in many structural characteristics and also their photocatalytic activities, as the primary sought function, were different. Thus the major topic treated in the paper comprised the design of the feasible preparation methodologies yielding functional thin layers in terms of the enhanced photoactivity as the inherent function due to the established specific structural properties.

    Tato práce se zabývá přípravou tenkých vrstev oxidu titaničitého různými metodami (chemická - metoda sol-gel, PECVD - metoda bariérový pochodňový výboj, fyzikální - reaktivní magnetronové naprašování a pomocí výboje v duté katodě). Připravené vrstvy jsouporovnávány z hlediska jejich základních fyzikálních parametrů (diagnostické metody : XRD, Ramanova spektroskopie, UV-vis, IČ spektroskopie, AFM, SEM atd.). Hlavním cílem je posouzení vlivu použité metody na strukturní parametry vrstev a s tím související jejich fotokatalytická aktivita.
