    Pr,Ce:YAlO3 Crystal Properties under UV-radiation Exposure

  • Original language description

    Pr,Ce:YAlO3 crystal behavior in term of possible absorption spectrum modification under UV-radiation exposure have been investigated and subsequently compared with the Pr:YAlO3 one. Co-doping of the Pr:YAlO3 gain medium by Ce3+-ions was proposed for crystal resistance improvement in terms of color center formation caused by UV-radiation, which could be useful, e.g., for flash-lamp pumping as well as for frequency-doubling operation from the fundamental wavelengths resulting in UV-region laser generation.
