    Perspective thin film technologies and biomaterials

  • Original language description

    Principles of basic PVD and CVD methods for thin films fabrication. Focus to laser technologies as PLD (Pulsed laser deposition), MAPLE (Matrix asssited laser deposition) and hybrid laser technologies. Methods as combination of PLD + radiofrequency (RF)+ hollow cathod dischrges, PLD + magnetron sputtering, PLD + PLD, PLD + ion gun are mentioned. Some details concerning coating of tooth implants, heart valves, textile vessels, urethral catheter, nanofibers, fabrication of nanocomposites with hydroxyapatite and diamond like carbon, and organic layers are given. Toxicity of biomaterials and bioresorbable biomaterials will be shorly discussed.
