    Tribological Properties and Gear Strength of Carbon Nanofiber Filled PA66 Composites

    There has been a great discussion on tribomaterials of polymeric nanocomposites (PNC) for mechanical sliding parts. Especially graphitic carbon nanofilaments such as carbon nanotube (CNT) and carbon nanofiber (CNF) have been of great research interest asthe filler of PNC in recent years. In our previous works we investigated the rheological, mechanical and tribological properties of thermoplastics composites filled with CNF in order to obtain new tribomaterials1). The purpose of this study is to investigate the tribological properties and gear strength of CNF filled polyamide 66 (PA66) composites.
