These terms are defined in the article: Foodstuff Security, Food Safety, and Food Self-Sufficiency. There are the factors described, whose influence ensures the foodstuff security in the Czech Republic. There are also the problems of food self-sufficiency in our country described, including the problems which are connected with safety and healthy harmless food for consumers. Food security exists when all people, at all times, have physical, social and economic access to sufficient safe and nutritious food that meets their dietary needs and food preferences for an active and healthy life. Food quality (viewpoint health harmlessness of food) is very actual theme nowadays. There are a lot of problems with production of no quality food and its import to the countries which are members of the European Union.
