PLASMA-ENHANCED CHEMICAL VAPOR DEPOSITION OF VARIOUS SILANES ONTO CARBONYL IRON PARTICLES
Original language description
In this work, conformal films of silanes have been made onto iron microparticles by plasma-enhanced chemical vapor deposition of various silane-based monomers. RF plasma reactor with a frequency of 40 kHz and rotating barrel fixed between two discharge electrodes arrangement was used to achieve a core-shell structured magnetic particles with uniform surface modification with polymers. The improved corrosion protection, friction properties as well as long-term stability of prepared MR suspensions based on core-shell structured particles was examined.
