This paper represents the specific part of our research focused on marketing and management in health care. The research aims to an analysis of health care in Bata Company before 1945. The goal of the research is to determine principles applied in healthcare about employees at Bata Company and health care about residents of Zlin. A pilot survey indicated that health education and health care done Bata Company greatly imrpoved health status of the population in the region. Since the occupational therapyis currently one of the most discussed issues, we perceive this research as a significant added value to the current business environment. The task of our partial research was to focus on occupational therapy in Bata Company before 1945, to define basicprinciples and to applie determined principles in the current business environment.
