Motivation to pursue this particular field of interest was the lack of sufficient research in this area, especially in empirical work concerning market orientation of large companies. The aim of this paper is to describe a concept of market orientation.There will be processed a search of available secondary sources such as databases, conferences, literature, and analysis of documentation and use of a deductive process. The article will contribute to better understanding of the phenomenon of market orientation and relationship between market orientation of firms and their performance on the Czech market.
