Example of a Discourse Analysis Essay for Students of English Studies
Original language description
This paper gives an example of a Discourse analysis essay whose composition was assigned to several students of English Studies by the paper´s author during his current employment at an institute of higher education. In order to practise their language skills, these students were asked to submit their written works which would be based on their own selection of a spoken or a written discourse-related topic, it being either formal or informal. Also, the essay was supposed to comprise 1000-1500 words andinclude in-text references to the provided study materials. Therefore, this paper mainly serves practical study purposes of these students who should see it merely as a proposal of how to approach this assignment or as an illustrative example they may possibly choose to follow when creating their essay.
