    The aim of the paper is to introduce the reader to the issue of road traffic monitoring, to describe individual ways of traffic flow monitoring, to mention technical equipment and modern technology used in traffic engineering, as well as to describe modern ways of monitoring traffic flow. The article introduces practical examples of traffic monitoring equipment applications in the Czech Republic.
