GENDER EQUALITY IN HIGH-TECH SECTORS: ANALYSIS OF WOMEN’S REPRESENTATION IN TECHNOLOGY INDUSTRIES IN THE VISEGRÁD GROUP COUNTRIES

  • Original language description

This study explores gender equality within the high-tech sectors of the Visegrád Four (V4) countries, with a focus on gender disparities in employment, the unadjusted gender pay gap, and the representation of women in technologically and knowledge-intensive industries at the supranational level. The findings indicate that, despite increasing demand for specialized professionals, the proportion of women employed in these sectors remains low, with notable differences observed between individual countries. Key contributing factors to inequality include educational and career entry barriers, wage gaps, and limited work-life balance support.
