Personal and Professional Needs of Trainee Teachers

Not only an interest of teacher training programmes but also a motivation of trainee teachers to remain in Czech Republic (CR) and Slovak Republic (SR) education are now significantly decreasing. If we expert quality of education from pre-elementary to tertiary education, or training quality of future specialists in individual sectors of the market, a support is necessary, or the interest of personal and professional needs and the expectations of the trainee teachers. After the graduation of teacher training programmes there is no feedback on the employment status of graduates, their level of readiness for teaching practice, on coping with difficult situations in teaching, as well as mentioning the issue of senior teachers. From this perspective, the project deals with the needs, expectations and growth in personal and professional skills of trainee teachers from pre-elementary to tertiary education. The project draws on professional and personal training for the teacher profession, troublesome areasin the teaching practice of trainee teachers, the issue of senior teacher in the CR and SR as well as the structure of factors of professional and personal growth of trainee teachers. The project focuses on monitoring and screening of needs concerning personal and professional development and expectations of trainee teachers at all levels of education, from the pre-elementary to the tertiary level of education in the CR and SR. Following partial objectives are set: - Analysis of professional and personal preparation for the teaching profession - Mapping of problematic areas within the teaching practice of trainee teachers - The influence of a teacher trainer - Screening of factors affecting professional and personal development of trainee teachers - Creation of tools forming professional and personal development of future and trainee teachers - Development of tools for the formation of professional and personal growth of future and beginning teachers

Zhodnocení výsledků projektu

Projekt je realizován v rámci Aktivity MOBILITY, jejímž hlavním cílem je navázání a prohlubování kontaktů se zahraničními výzkumnými institucemi. Neprobíhá tedy kontrola dílčích výstupů projektu prostřednictvím hodnotící komise, avšak je kontrolována správnost čerpání přidělených financí a přiměřenost jejich využití.
