In recent years the Czech Republic received even more foreigners who wish stay in the country (according to data of MI CR 31. 12. 2014, 451,923 people were on the records). Ethnic/national diversity of society will increasingly find its reflection in identity. The aim of the project is to help foreigners to get to know and easily understand and accept cultural values and the preferences of the Czech society as part of the national identity. For the majority groupthis implies a support of the integration process, as well as better management of linguistic interaction; this could help overcome the low responsiveness of the Czech society towards foreigners and to maintain and develop national integrity and national specifics. The aim of the project is to create a contemporary, explicit, understandable and user-friendly source of information about the Czech cultural treasures, national and linguistic heritage . Socio-cultural integration and use, along with the command of Czech language, is a Government policy regarding the integration of foreigners - the combined use of two of the four priority areas means successful integration of foreigners. Those are the key government measures regarding the integration of foreigners. The main outcome is the creation of an online database and software, applications for mobile devices, i.e. interactive maps with selected cultural, linguistic and social heritage - an ”alphabet of Czech culture”. These results can be applied both in teaching of foreigners who will be integrated into the Czech society, and for continuous improving of the knowledge of foreigners who are permanently settled or have long-term residence in the Czech Republic. This project will also offer corresponding texts according to the level of knowledge of Czech (Basic Czech and Advanced Czech), accompanied with sound, as well as with two language versions of the content - English and Russian for foreigners who do not have sufficient language skills.

Projekt byl realizován dle plánu a byly splněny a uplatněny všechny plánované výsledky, které lze považovat za přínosné s ohledem na praktické využití pro cizince, kterým mají umožnit lepší pochopení kulturních hodnot, orientace a preferencí české společnosti a její národní identity.
