Anotace anglicky

IThe Center for the Study of Language, Mind and Society was established at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Hradec Králové in September 2009 thanks to the support of the European Structural Funds. The main activity of the Center consists in organizing lectures, conferences and workshops involving prominent philosophers and scientists and in publishing materials resulting from these events. The Center aims at increasing the impact of philosophy in our region and at stimulating discussions betweenphilosophers and scientists. We make it possible for the students to hear talks of leading experts and we increase the professional competence of the teachers, thus making the Faculty of Philosophy at a professionally respectable institution attractivefor students. We put stress on an interdisciplinary approach overcoming contemporary fragmentation of individual scientific and philosophical disciplines and resulting into a synoptic view of the human mind, language and society. The result of our effortshould be, on the one hand, a reputable center of university education and, on the other hand, erudite and versatile students who not only will be well prepared for the challenges they will meet on the work market, but will be also able to understand the modern world beyond the boundaries of their professional specialization.

Na Univerzitě Hradec Králové se díky projektu LMS podařilo vybudovat fungující interdisciplinární centrum, jehož pravidelné přednášky a semináře jsou navštěvovány jak akademickými pracovníky, tak studenty všech ročníků. O všech aktivitách LMS Centra inf?
