The aim of the project is to strengthen human resources in research in the field of bioinformatics and computational biology, which will provide the labor market with experts from both areas. To achieve this goal, a new research-oriented doctoral study program Bioinformatics and Computational Biology will be created, both in Czech and English. The program will take the form of a doctoral school between the Faculty of Medicine, UP and the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, VŠB-TUO. Graduates will be able to carry out independent research work, ranging from data acquisition to expert analysis and interpretation. In the course of preparation of the study program, the existing cooperation between the applicant and the project partner will be capitalized in the form of joint publications, research projects, workshops for postgraduate and undergraduate students. Foreign experts are involved in the development and development of the study program.
