Research and development of a human preparation for the treatment of onychomycosis with the active substance pythium oligandrum

Anotace anglicky

The main goal of the project is to use the results of applied research of biological and biochemical effects of the microorganism Pythium oligandrum on fungal diseases? onychomycosis (fungi invading the skin, hair and nails) and the inclusion of the micro-organism Pythium oligandrum or its propagules or certain metabolites in the list of authorized active substances and to formulate a preparation prepared for clinical trials before subsequent registration as a drug form against fungal diseases of this type. Onychomycosis currently affects about 10% of the population, of which 50% of the population is over 70 years old. Relapse occurs in 10 to 50% of them. The result of the project will be a functional sample of the product prepared for clinical studies, which should be followed by its registration as a pharmaceutical form. Our company has long been trying to find less harmful substitutes for those substances whose risks have been known for a long time? this is the incentive for our research and development. As the consumer is not able to find products and services that are free of hazardous substances, we want to come up with a product that will be the so-called first choice for the future treatment of onychomycosis without adverse effects on a bio-basis.
