Anotace anglicky

The objectives of the project Centre of Excellence in Regenerative Medicine are as follows: 1) Implementation of planned research projects by implementing 6 research work packages in the field of regeneration and tissue engineering. WP1 will develop new and effective treatment options for CNS injuries based on the principles of regenerative medicine. WP2 will contribute to the development of a new and effective treatment option for neurodegeneration using unique chemical derivatives and nanomaterials. WP3 will elaborate methodologies crucial for cell and gene therapy of retinal degenerative diseases. WP4 focuses on the development of small diameter vascular grafts and vascular patches using tissue engineering methods. WP5 aims at the development of treatment of osteochondral defects. The aim of WP6 is the development of novel materials to promote healing of chronic wounds based on natural and synthetic polymers. 2) Creation/development of an excellent research team through the permanent involvement of 31 high quality key workers, including the long-term involvement of 17 other senior researchers, 13 technicians, 21 expert workers and students from abroad and other expert junior researchers and students. 3) Establishment of a minimum of seven new international collaborations and expansion of the existing ones. 4) Strengthening internationalisation by involving at least 21 foreign workers in work package research teams. The establishment of new and expansion of existing international collaborations will lead to the submission of at least 34 international grants and publication of at least 36 publications with foreign co-authorship. 5) Acquisition of instrumentation and infrastructure necessary for the implementation of research projects.
