Biomedical Indicators for Personalized Medicine

Anotace anglicky

The aim of the BIPOLE project is to set up a system of sustainable development and strengthening of research and innovation capacities in the Hradec-Pardubice agglomeration and the introduction of advanced technologies and procedures in the field of personalized medicine with a focus on the most fragile population (perinatology and the elderly). The project includes applied research and intersectoral cooperation, i.e. obtaining and verifying results to the proof-of-concept phase with continuous verification of applicability and commercial potential of the results generated in cooperation with entities from the application sphere. The research will include the optimisation of maternal, fetal and neonatal care, with a direct link to the safety of pharmacotherapy in pregnant and lactating women. Similarly, safe and personalized pharmacotherapy will be addressed for the elderly both from the perspective of polypragmasia and the development of appropriate nutritional supplements and potential drugs for improved quality of life or treatment of the elderly, and other interventional approaches to change the pathological dynamics of aging and improve quality of life. Scientific outputs of the project will also focus on modern diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for both target groups to improve health, quality of life and safety through new therapeutic approaches or technological solutions such as remote monitoring of vital functions, mobile applications or other devices (wearables). Systematic conceptual intersectoral collaboration focused on clinical research in this area of personalised medicine aimed at the development of easy-to-use and widely available technologies will enable real links to the field of application and will qualitatively increase the application potential of the results obtained.
