Anotace anglicky

The research project aims at developing a new technology for multi - storey buildings. The new structural technique will be based on the progressive method developed by the applicant. This technology was also awarded as a new Czech product. Structural insulated panels (SIPs) are a high performance building system for residential and light commercial construction. The panels consist of an insulating foam core sandwiched between two structural facings, usually oriented strand board (OSB) of 15 mm thickness. The result is a building system that is extremely strong, energy efficient and cost effective. The SIPs can be classified as a versatile construction unit that can be used for external as well as for internal walls and also for floor and ceiling construction. The current Europanel’s building system was properly verified throughout implementation of several dozen single - storey houses during last decade. Logically, the next step in the development of this method for the construction market is the focus on possibilities of building multi - storey objects with the potential for use in residential, administrative and commercial construction. The main benefit of multi – storey constructions are substantial time and cost savings in implementation and thus much convenient access for financially disadvantaged clients. The aim of the project is also the development of an advanced building system, based on design principles of EUROPANEL technology, that would enable an implementation of the multi- storey and energy - efficient buildings from sandwich panels. However, the construction of multi - storey buildings involves much more difficult specifications than the design of single - storey house, mainly in terms of assessing the structures on the basis of existing legislation. Particularly legislation about acoustic conditions of the structure and its surroundings, as well as standards and regulations about fire safety and structural analysis have be studied in more detail.
