Název projektu anglicky
Pilot project of a drug delivery system by a pharmacist - service to patients in order to prevent the spread of Covid-19 disease
Anotace anglicky
Based on previous experience in providing primary care to patients in the context of a pandemic and the fight against coronavirus, pharmacies have proven to be important and irreplaceable. Pharmacists provide long-term advice and there is a need to strengthen their role and make sufficient use of their expertise in the health system. PGEU / Pharmaceutical Group of the European Union - the most important managing authority recommends in the strategy document Pharmacy 2030: A vision for Community Pharmacy ni Europe to move to the pharmacies other important services such as patient monitoring when introducing a new drug, contraindications and other services that bring significant savings health system and improving patient service. According to previous surveys, up to 90 percent of mild cases of influenza are detected and pharmacologically treated in pharmacies. Similarly, in the case of combating COVID-19, pharmacists make a significant contribution to the implementation of preventive measures, help monitor important indicators or also directly consult with patients on the simpler course of the disease in home treatment. Thanks to the new system, pharmacists will personally deliver the prescribed medication to the patient, monitor the course of treatment and disseminate recommendations for disease prevention. The software and applications thus simplify communication with the pharmacy and the pharmacist also records important information about the patient with an overlap on the patient's drug record, which is launched in January 2021. The project data / know-how will be important for the Ministry of Health and used for further direction of Czech pharmacy. It is therefore a long-term sustainability project. Increasing pressures to relax prescription medications can have significant negative effects on patients' health.
