Anotace anglicky

The aim of the project is to develop a new software product called "Levebee Word Problems Tutor", which will be used for teaching mathematical word problems at the elementary school. The product is entirely based on research and implementation of AI in the process of pedagogical analysis and teaching of sub-skills needed for solving word problems. This product will quadruple the company's sales and allow Levebee to enter the strong US market, stabilizing the company economically and growing the company in the long term. The sub-goals of the solution are to accomplish: Pedagogical research based on the analysis of video recordings of live tutors and students to map the necessary AI tutor-student interactions. Applied research on an AI word problem generator whose outputs are tailored to pedagogical parameters such as language difficulty, level of redundant information or mathematical operation used. Human-Computer Interaction research on interactive exercises, which aims to find an appropriate user-interaction form of the exercise that is comprehensible to children while meeting the necessary psychometric parameters. Applied research on an AI evaluator for generating feedback, which will generate pedagogically effective feedback based on data on student interactions with exercises, including screenshots. Applied research on an AI generator of pedagogical assessments reports that will be used by teachers to assess what sub-skills a student has hidden gaps in and how they need to be supported. Iterative pilot research in a real school setting to identify and then correct gaps in previous research. Development of a final software product based on a combination of findings from each research. The new Levebee Word Problems Tutor product will be fully ready for sale in the Czech Republic and the USA. Efficacy research of the final product through a scientific study of educational impact, which is a prerequisite for sales in the USA.
