Název projektu anglicky
AI Technologist – Automated Generation of Technological Processes in Metalworking
Anotace anglicky
The objective of the project is, through industrial research and experimental development, to develop and industrially validate an AI software platform for intelligent generation of technological process plans in metal manufacturing, with the potential for future extension to broader mechanical engineering practice. The project focuses on the research, domain adaptation, and integration of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and natural language processing methods to automate key decision-making steps in production process planning, which in current industrial practice are predominantly based on the individual expert know-how of manufacturing technologists. Based on parametric inputs (part geometry, material, tolerances, production requirements, and company-specific technologies), the platform will automatically generate manufacturing operations, their sequence, the selection of machines and tools, technological conditions, structured operation descriptions, and alternative technological solutions while respecting technological constraints and company rules. The research contribution of the project lies in verifying the ability of AI methods to consistently and repeatedly transform heterogeneous technical data and historical process plans into formalized technological process plans in an AI-assisted design mode, allowing technologist intervention, under conditions of high variability typical of custom and small-batch production. The proposed solution will significantly increase the scalability, speed, and consistency of the Inquiry-to-Order process, reduce dependence on manual technologist work, improve the accuracy of inputs for cost estimation, reduce error rates, and support the standardization of technological process planning across enterprises. Industrial applicability and transferability of the results will be demonstrated through validation on real industrial data and pilot deployment in cooperation with application partners.
