The grant is a financial support for the publishing of the book "History of Electrical Engineering". In the prepared book there is an account of the development of the scientific views and the ways in which the important discoveries in various fields ofelectrical engineering were made. The contributions of notable physicists and electrical engineers are analysed and the social conditions are also involved in which their work came into existence. The reader gets an overview of the history of formulatio nof the laws of electrodynamics and their application on the origin and the development of electrotechnical industry. The area of production, transmission and usage of electrical energy is covered, as well as the telecommunication techniques. It is not only a mere enumeration of facts, but also an outline of the philosophy of thinking in electrotechnical sciences, the exploration of economic accelerating and retarding influences and the outline of the history of enterprise activities.
