Mechanics of underground structures - editorial project

Anotace anglicky

The goal of the suggested editorial project is to publish a monograph under the following title: "Mechanics of Underground Structures" which is going to summarize the up-to date knowledge of this new multidisciplinary subject which has been developing inthe world for about 10 - 15 years. The applicant belong to the founders of this scientific school in geotechnics and geomechanics in the CR, apart from other things he already published 2 papers in the 1980's (Stability and Reinforcement of Long Mining Constructions - SNTL 1979, Mine Openings - Stability and Support, Elsevier, 1986), which are already not publicly available at the present time. Developing underground engineering and stability problems which we can face in the underground, request both special expert preparation and the application of specific approaches which are different from a classic mechanics.
