Anotace anglicky
The project New Testament of 1601: the peak of biblical work in the Unity of the Brethren will examine the contribution of this last Kralice edition of the New Testament with respect to textual criticism of the Bible, Czech language and theology in the context of Brethren biblical translations and the historical context of this print. The outcomes of the project will be a critical edition, following Czech texts (the Brethren production since the 1560s: New Testaments 1564, 1568, 1596, Kralice Bibles 1579-1594, 1596, 1613; Melantrich Bible of 1556-1557), Latin and Greek texts of T. de Bèze (from the Barbirio edition of 1559 to the fifth edition) and Erasmus and their annotations, and the Antwerp Polyglot. Further outcomes will be a collective monograph with chapters devoted to the Czech language, textual criticism (relation to Latin and Greek), historical, and theological aspects of the New Testament of 1601, three studies in journals, including an edition of a manuscript sermon of Z. Ariston.
