Anotace anglicky

The project will be devoted to the analysis of the itinerary of Přemysl Ottokar II, as well as to the prosopography of the persons mentioned in his charters. Methodically, it is inspired by E. Müller-Mertens,who first divided the Holy Roman Empire into particular regions and subsequently paid attention also to the travels between the locations where the royal presence is documented, as these intervals can also be included in the time spent in a given region. Thanks to this he identified the areas of key importance for the rule of a given king. To provide our analysis with a certain dynamics we will split the rule of Přemysl Ottokar II in periods based on his territorial gains and losses. Furthermore, we will also focus on persons who appear in his charters. On one hand, our project will provide some valuable comparative material, as this method was tested only on the emperors of the Holy Roman Empire. On the other hand, it will be the first systematic analysis on the functioning of the royal power in the Czech lands during the 13th century, based mainly on documents collected in CDB.
