Anotace anglicky
The project aims on the theoretical exploration of the meaning of literary fiction to explore the context of law in society as functional social entity. The project uses the knowledge and methodology of “Law and Literature”: a century-long tradition and progressive establishment within the CE scientific context. Law is a social phenomenon and its reflection in the literature belongs to the sources of a cognition of law. This reflection opens a new way to approach and perceive law in society and enables to identify the relationship between changes in society and the accompanying image of law. No similar research has been conducted in the CR and is unique in the CE context. The project to cover the literature of the late 19th and early 20th century – historical periods significant by the influence of art on society and forming a substantive part of the Czech Cultural Heritage. Reflections of law in the literature will be identified by an analysis of selected literary pieces and then contextualised within the current legal evolvement and with the law as a cultural phenomenon.
