Anotace anglicky

According to minority stress theory, individuals with a minority sexual orientation and identity are more at risk of social discrimination and stigmatization and associated negative consequences. On average, they show a higher degree of gender nonconformity both in childhood and adulthood. The project examines the connection between sexual orientation, well-being, minority stress, and self-reported and observed gender nonconformity in childhood and adulthood. It will examine if the level of minority stress is more influenced by sexual orientation itself, or rather by the level of gender non-conformity independent of sexual orientation. It consists of three complementary studies (self-assessment, social perception and parental perspective). The results of the study will allow to understand the specific risks of gender non-conforming individuals and to better target subsequent psychological support.
