Anotace anglicky

As part of the Critical Hybrid Edition, the ICL’s editorial team have prepared works by canonical Czech authors (e.g. Bezruč, Erben, and Mácha). In each case, variant materials (outlines, drafts, manuscripts, prints), which the team systematically organizes, provide grounds for the textological establishment of a critically verified text. However, this material has not yet been fully used to analyze and interpret the genesis of the text, something that could significantly contribute to our understanding of certain works of literature. Current research, carried out in cooperation with FIT CTU, aims to newly analyze this material from the perspective of its genesis. Research is to be carried out in four key areas: (1) machine data processing using artificial intelligence, (2) analysis of texts, focusing on the process of their creation, (3) methodological updating of the genetic aspect of textology, and (4) the design of new tools for analyzing and visualizing variants. Outcomes of the proposed project will shed new light on the genesis of poetic texts.
