Anotace anglicky

The starting point of the project, which has a historical and systematic perspective, is the assumption that the basic motifs of Nietzsche's thought (life, body) must be complemented by the equally important third motif of love. To what extent does Nietzsche succeed in showing the interconnectedness, continuity or unity of the sub-modalities of love, and to what extent are they accidental and separate phenomena? Second, while the "intra-worldly" modalities are characterised by an essential ambivalence in which love is dialectically bound to its counterpart, no similar interdependence applies to holistic love in the sense of "amor fati". Can this motif of "holistic love" then be understood as a modality of love that is exempt from the "tragic" bond with its opposite? How philosophically convincing is the motif of holistic affirmation? The suspicion that this is merely a rhetorical proclamation, a falsifying aestheticization or an unfulfilled wish, seems strong.
