Anotace anglicky
The project focuses on the research of self-representation of the mendicant order of Servites in the Habsburg monarchy in the 17th and 18th centuries. The research of the religious orders pursued in the Czech Republic up to now concentrated chiefly on the self-representation in the sense of ostentatious consumption of the elites and thus focused mainly on the religious orders whose members could be counted to the elites. The submitted project utilizes the concept of self-representation in the sense thatis closer to its original interpretation by the British sociologist Erving Goffman who conceived the self-representation as a model of everyday social life of all individuals. The narrative communication of the Servite order which was constitutive for the identification of the individuals (both the members and the patrons) with the order will be paid detailed attention.
