Anotace anglicky

The subject of the project is a complex analysis and interpretation of the building program, created by Albrecht of Wallenstein on the territory of his manor of Friedland, in the years 1621-1634, with its centrum in Jičín. This building program is a cultural heritage of European importance distinguished by its use of architecture as a prime tool to create a politics of space, reign and a new Catholic devotion. Within the research a diverse structure of projects will be studied: buildings contructed to Wallenstein?s personal representation, aristocratic palaces, gentry houses, ecclesiastical buildings, functional and technical buildings, and eventually also the urban design concepts and landscape compositions. Realized, initiated or only concieved projects, founded and sponsored either by Albrecht of Wallenstein, or by his feudatories and other subjects within the manor, will be examined. Jičín itself and its surroudings, considering its highest rate of constructed and preserved fundations within the coherent Wallenstein?s conception, will be the priority focus of the research. Other Wallenstein?s buildings outside the manor of Friedland, and all documented works of the three leading Wallenstein?s architects G. Pieroni, A. Spezza and N. Sebregondi, will be studied too.
