Five Old-Czech legends in verse of Luxembourgian era (comprehensive critical edition)

Anotace anglicky

The aim of the proposed project is to process and publish the first collective comprehensive critical edition of five Old-Czech legends in verse, which belong to the unique literary heritage of the Luxembourg period in the Czech lands, namely the Legendof St. Dorothea, Legend of St. George, Legend of St. Catherine (so-called Minor Legend), Legend of St. Margaret, and Legend of Ten Thousand Knights. The edition is to be elaborated on the basis of the multiple-aspect linguistic and literary-historical analysis of all accessible Old-Czech sources, with respect to a broader context of Czech and Latin medieval literature. The edition will be published in two versions - printed and electronic. The book will include the critical edition with annotations, commentary, accompanying studies, and a detailed interpreting dictionary; the CD-ROM will contain the complete material i.e. also texts both in transliterated and transcribed version and digital copies of manuscripts.
