Analysis of stressful and resilient factors in families with children with specific learning disabilities (SLD)

Anotace anglicky

The aim of the project is to identify the factors disturbing inner relationships in the families of children with specific learning disabilities (specifically dyslexia) and to contribute towards preventing secondary neuroticism of the children at risk.The assumption is that in this case the threat arises from lack of understanding of the problems of SLD by those bringing the child up. On the background of awareness of SLD in individual groups of the population the project seeks, on the one hand,factorscausing stress and increased psychological problems in the families of these children and, on the other, resilient factors (protective and defensive) within the family system. The research should lead to practical suggestions on protecting themental health of children with "slight deviations of mental development" and their family (and non-family) care providers.
